Welcome to Iturup
Iturup (also called Yasny) is an international airport on the Iturup Island (Sakhalin Oblast, Russia). On September 22, 2014, the airport accepted its first regular flight of the Aurora company from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk with 50 passengers on board. On June 17, 2017, the airport accepted a passenger flight from Japan for the first time.
The dimensions of the runway are 2300 × 42 m, which allows to receive aircraft such as An-2, An-24, An-26, An-32, An-74, L-410, Bombardier Dash 8, Sukhoi Superjet 100, helicopters of all types, occasionally the An-12.The airport is located near the villages of Kurilsk, the villages of Reidovo and Kitovoe, with which it is connected by a new highway with an asphalt surface.
